Last year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Federation was unable to organise its annual Decorator of the Year competition.

The good news is that the competition returns in all its glory this October. The awards are highly prised by the industry and demonstrate the high levels of skills and customer care that our industry provides its clients.

Judges will select from the photographs entered by the competitors, choosing those that are to be visited by the judging team. Should government rules not permit site visits, the judging panel will make their decision based on the photographs and information given and verified by the competitors and their clients.

Do you have a job that you are particularly proud of, and that the client enthused over? If you have, enter it in the competition and gain industry recognition for your company’s skills.

There are various categories to enter:

1. Historic Project Award

2. Historic Contracts Manager Award

3. Project of the Year

4. Project of the Year Contracts Manager

5. New Build Award

6. New Build Contracts Manager Award

7. Industrial Project of the Year

8. Repair Care Trained Contractor Project of the Year.

All being well with legislation in October, the awards will be presented at the Federation’s Annual Dinner Dance which is due to be held in the Marriott Hotel in Edinburgh.

To take part, complete an entry form (available from info@scottishdecorators.co.uk) and return with the appropriate remittance to SDF head office.
