The popular golf tournament celebrates its thirteenth year.

The thirteenth annual PPG Golf Masters regional heats recently took place across the UK and Ireland. The competition is open to all PPG Architectural Coatings UK & Ireland account holders. To ensure the safety of guests, all heats were run safely and in full compliance of government Covid-19 guidelines.

Over 500 golfers have played across eight regional heats, all battling it out for a place in the final, which will take place at the renowned Scottish Turnberry course in late September (pictured above).

Here, the eight regional heat winners and the 2020 Turnberry champion will all play for the grand prize – a golfing trip for four to Valderrama, Spain, and the opportunity of returning to next year’s final to defend their title.

Aside from the chance of making it to the final, guests had the opportunity to play at some great courses, as well as the chance of winning plenty of other fantastic prizes at each heat, including prizes for second and third place, longest drive and nearest the pin. Guests also had the chance to win a Nissan Navara in the ‘Hole in One’ competition – there were some close shots but unfortunately no winners this year.

Sarah Clough, PPG customer loyalty manager, said: “The PPG Golf Masters is such a great way of bringing together our customers and thanking them for their continued support. During what has been a very challenging year for us all, we really wanted to make our thirteenth event the best one yet, giving our customers the chance to not only win amazing prizes, but to also have a great day out.”

During the heats guests could also have a try at the PPG charity nearest the pin competition. Over £4,000 was raised during the competition, with all proceeds going directly to PPG’s partnering charity Mind – a fantastic result!

Sarah added: “It’s promising to see that the discussion around mental health has opened up in recent years, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. So, we think it’s important that we take every opportunity to raise as much funds as possible for Mind, who are really helping to make a difference to people’s lives across the country.”

Good luck to all our finalists who will be attending Turnberry in late September.
