Decorating Matters is published four times a year – spring, summer, autumn and winter. Members of the Scottish Decorators’ Federation get a printed copy delivered to them. Plus you can pick one up at branches of The Paint Shed, Johnstone’s Decorating Centres, Dulux Decorator Centres, Crown Decorating Centres and some independent paint stores. Current issue: Autumn 2025

Our autumn issue looks at two recent competitions hosted by the Scottish Association of Painting Craft Teachers (SAPCT). Events such as these help to build student confidence and skills. We also lift the lid on the popular Dulux Heritage range of paint and investigate what it takes to repair decorative cornices – or even make them from scratch. We have a feature on spotting the signs of mental health issues at work – and what you can do to help.
